The motel is a basic low budget place with a small kitchen, clean and well
maintained. But I found the first room they put me in was at the front, facing a
busy, noisy road. I had to request a change to a quieter room at the rear side
of the motel. It was smaller, but OK for my short stay. The motel is well
located close to OK Lake, beach and children's playground park. The staff were
helpful for my requested change of room.

We stayed at the Riverside Motel for 2 days during the summer and found it to be
a really nice place. Highlight has to be the pool area and the motel's close
proximity to the beach.
Rooms : We had 2 rooms during our stay the first looked out onto the pool area
and was really impressive, with separate bedroom, kitchen and living area. The
door enabling us to easily gain access to the pool was a real plus point but I'd
recommend booking a pool facing room in advance as this was only available to us
on one night.
Our second room was much less impressive with a combined kitchen/living/bedroom
with very little natural light coming through the tiny window. The difference in
quality of room was certainly reflected in the cheaper price so can't really
complain (also we didn't pre book our stay here).
Location : The hotel is a short walk from the beach and also a couple of
restaurants. The walk along the main street takes you to an area with
bars/restaurants and shops and takes approximately 30 mins. For those with a car
the Walmart is a 10 minute drive away.
We really didn't know what to expect from Penticton and were happily surprised
by the seaside style town. The beach is obviously the focal point and as such
I'd recommend the Riverside Motel for it's quality, value and ideal location.

Had four rooms reserved Saturday night. One of the rooms had no heat. My room
had no hot water for my shower in the morning. Contacted the front desk. They
said sorry. No discount for the rooms. If you mess up make things right for the
customer. I wont go back. Lots of motels in the area to look at.

We were very impressed with the size & the quality of our room. We stayed in a
large room with 2 queen beds & a nice kitchenette for $59 + tax per night in the
off season. The pool was closed for the winter. The room was spotless. The
bathroom was modern & sparkling. We were also very pleased with the man on the
front desk. I spoke to him several times during our 2 day stay & he was always
very polite & more than willing to help. We used one of the BBQs one night,
which was a nice feature. Also the free WIFI at this place was the best we had
during our whole vacation.

Can't beat the location, round the corner from the beach on Okanagon lake and
over the road to the entrance to the river (float trips)
Rooms better than expected, I don't think we had an updated room but they were
very clean and well equipped. Pool was a massive plus point for the price we
paid.
In summary, great location, lovely atmosphere, good amenities, room a bit tired,
excellent value for money!!

Nick (owner) , is the best reason to stay at this motel , he and his family go
above and beyond what is necessary to make guest's stay as good as could be .
Rooms are clean , updated , pool is warm and clean , kitchens are well stocked ,
location is perfect , unless you absolutley need to be near Skaha beach , you
will be making a mistake booking anywhere else than the Riverside Motel , book
very early
