I stayed here with my young children and myself, and we were very happy with it.
The beds room was clean, beds were comfortable, and the staff very friendly. We
didn't eat here, but certainly enjoyed the pool. We will be back the next time
we are in Penticton. Thanks to the great staff for making our visit enjoyable!

Good service up front, really nice but then...
Needs complete update of furniture, carpet and tv, to start. Then put some
insulation in the walls and a thicker door that keeps noise out. The walls are
paper thin. I am currently sitting here listen to some dumb guy talking to two
girls in the room next to me.
Besides that has WiFI, not bad prices, great location with denny's and a Bar in
the same building. Room service available which is also nice.

We chose the Sandman because of its proximity (300 metres) to the Convention
Centre which was our jumping off point for events of the fall wine festival. The
weekend rate was reasonable. Parking was easy and convenient. The check-in
process was smooth and the front desk staff were pleasant and efficient. As
noted in other reviews, the hallway and rooms feel a bit dated. Regardless, our
room was clean, comfortable and quiet.
If I had one criticism it would be the food service in the lounge was painfully
slow. Our server took the order promptly but we waited 45 minutes for an order
consisting of a couple of simple appetizers.
We would stay at the Sandman again.

Far from fancy but close to the convention centre and easy access to the beach.
Stayed in a room with a kitchenette (stove, fridge, sink) - handy for keeping
farmers' market veg fresh. Lobby and bar have been renovated but rooms could use
a bit of a makeover. Did not use pool but others seemed to be enjoying it.

"Sandman Penticton"
Room had not been vacuumed for some time - there were ants in our room. In the
hallway there was leftover food plates left for 24 hours before being picked up.
The rugs were worn, walls has holes, the place was well worn - no way would we
stay again. We don't need brand new but we do need clean and this hotel was
definitely not clean - very dirty, very messy - never again

Very disappointing and creepy to find a pair of women's underwear in my room;
obviously it wasn't cleaned properly. Also, the housekeeping supervisor didn't
seem too concerned when I brought it to her attention. |
