1person found this review helpfulWe came for a night visit (my family ,myself,husband,2 kids and a small dog) Also my parents and aunt and another aunt and uncle. Although it was great that we just drove in and they were able to accommodate 3 separate rooms at $100 each and the yard was really well taken care of we were very leery about the rooms. My parents went into their room (kitchenette with 1 queen and hide-a-bed ) The bathroom was not clean ,around the toilets on the floor there was old moist dust with pubic hair. My aunt went to open her hide-a-bed to find used bedding still on it. Also the mattress on the hide-a-bed was in horrible shape (it may have been ok for my dog) .Our room , I could not believe how dirty the bathroom and door knobs through out the room was . The bathroom light switch even had what looked like fecal matter on it. Also the cleaning lady there looked like she was on crack or something while caring for her young boy outside.
The whole family was utterly disgusted. The ONLY good thing was that it was very easy to access the beach from the Motel !!
I would NEVER recommend this motel to anyone !!
Oh yes and it said on their website there is Internet ,NO there was not !!

Booked based on positive reviews on Trip Advisor, I'll add my own thoughts.
We arrived and were greeted by a very nice gal at the desk. We didn't get a great deal but we were there during a busy time so I understand that. The hotel itself was fine and the rooms were clean. I wasn't impressed with the beach on Skaha Lake across the street, a rusty chain fence stretches the length of the beach with a 4 lane highway behind that. We went for an evening walk and found the beach dirty was well. If you don't look behind you its a nice lake with beautiful mountains surrounding it.

We've stayed two years in a row and would recommend lakeside villa to other travelers looking for an affordable suite with friendly and accommodating staff. It's conveniently located right across from Skaha lake and offers beach access to an area usually less populated than the main beach. We love it and will likely be back again next year.

Decided to head to Penticton on short notice for some beach time by the lake. We had a kitchenette room. It was clean and tidy with all the basic kitchen requirements. A no frills set up but was all we needed as we spent most of our time at the lake.
The hotel was based on the highway however, we did not have any issues with highway noise but this could have been partly due to us leaving the a/c on due to the heat. We were on a ground floor unit and did hear upstairs thumping about but I am sure they heard our 1 year old too! Having said this, we did not hear any conversations from any units. The owner, Rob, has been updating the property room by room. The motel is just minutes to the beach via a underpass - you don't have to cross the highway which is great with little ones. The motel is not close to amenities so we did drive to shops etc...

Me and my boyfriend stayed at this hotel from July 26-29 (3 nights). From the moment we checked in to the time we left, we received nothing but super friendly service, a great atmosphere, clean and spacious rooms and an overall awesome vacation. The owner was so nice and you could tell that he was very attentive and proud of his place and treated us as if we were friends or family.

The room was big (we had a one bedroom with kitchenette and fold out sofa bed). I liked that it was tiled floor as being in and out and at the beach it made for minimal mess. Also the bed was very comfortable and the rooms looked as though they had been updated or remodeled, or just very well taken care of. The backyard bbq patio area was great, and we met alot of nice people from all over. The tunnel to the beach was also a great bonus!!!! I read reviews about it being loud from the highway and airport, but I did not notice any loudness at all!

We are already talking about coming back if not before this summer is over, then definitely next year. Also, trying to find a place that accepts a dog is hard or else they add alot of extra cost, but this place was 100% dog friendly and just an overall great experience. Friendly, Clean, and cozy. Thanks for making our summer vacation a great one! :)
