stayed here 2 nights june 22 and 23. thought it was going to be too expensive
but we got a great last minute deal, they have a senior rate over 55 too. We
loved the private beach, water was cold but sun was great! Fridge in room which
was great, but no free internet. Room was nice, clean and had a balcony. No
complaints!Lakeside Resort Hotel and Casino Penticton Reviews

The rooms are quiet and clean. The restaurants are great and the staff are very
accommodating.

Hotel is clean and not bad for the most part.
Very noisy, and I mean noisy well into the night! If possible avoid rooms that
face the parking lot. Staff will not stop the noise.
Be aware the the hotel is in reality a 3 star in service and amenities and not 4
stars as indicated.
unbelievably expensive for what you get!
Internet does not work with the faster apple model computers!

It might be ok in the winter when u don't need air-conditioning but we have been
here for 3 nights now and after the first night we had to move all of our stuff
to a new room because the air conditioner wouldn't work. The 2nd night the air
conditioning turned off at 9pm and never came back on all day so that evening I
called the front desk and they reset it (THEY CONTROL IT FROM THE FRONT DESK)
It came on and again worked until 9 PM AND AGAIN SHUT OFF!
So if you like your room cool in the summer "DON'T STAY HERE!

We have never stayed at a hotel that allowed the degree of noise to continue
throughout the entire night. We stayed two nights, and both nights we hardly
slept a wink. Security was phoned, but were terribly slow to respond to a party
in a room a couple doors down at 3:30am. You could hear the bass in the room
from the bar till closing time. Our sink was plugged, absolutely no water
pressure in the shower, no free Wi Fi internet.

First Stay was fantastic, and got service that rivaled Fairmont Hotels, and
other 5 star chains. Second stay was very good as well again good product and
service delivery, but not quite the same as the first. Third stay, slow bar
service, higher room rate even though it was only two days after the second
stay, lousier view, Older gal on the front desk at check-in was a bit indignant,
and cold(didn't wear my dress shirt and tie on the third check in).I guess as
they saw me as a "regular" I didn't warrant the same first impression of
service, that I got the first time. The only thing consistent all three trips,
was the food quality, service and value in both the Barking Parrot, and The
Hooded Merganser Restaurant. Great to see good food in a Hotel, which is very
uncommon these days. Expect great service on your first stay, but once you
become a "regular" they may think they have your business sewn up and you won't
see the same level of service every time in the hotel. Their Parking fee policy
is very inconsistent as well. Noisy Hallways, and major noise from the patios
below if you have a lake view. I highly recommend the Poker Room in the Casino
as well, if you are a card player it can be very lucrative if you bring your
A-game. Stay away from the slots, they are all 5 wheel digital encrypted now,
and pay out little and with limited frequency, and the 6 deck reshuffle machines
at the blackjack tables will leave you at a huge disadvantage. If you use the
business centre it comes with a surcharge

I have been staying at this hotel for work frequently for around 15 years. The
location is perfect, right on the lakefront, and is an easy walk to numerous
restaurants, shops, etc. The locals are friendly, the staff are great, the food
at the Merganser is great, as it is at the Parrot.
On this last trip, we tried the Tappas but it was just mediocre. Service was
fine, but the food marginal. The casino is clean, fun, and has a good
atmosphere.
The only drawback, especially in the summer, is the high noise level from
drunken Parrot patrons, the parking lot antics, or general rowdiness along the
beachfront by partygoers.
Even if I wasn't going to this hotel for work, I'd definitely consider staying
there for leisure.

This hotel has the best location in town - right on the lake and great lakeside
views. Lots of activity on the property with the casino and pub but my favorite
is the restaurant on the lake. Great service and great food. The hotel is in
desperate need of an update - you feel like you are in a 1970's time warp - but
it still works and is more than comfortable to stay

We stayed at this hotel for four nights in December. The hotel staff was very
friendly and accommodating. The hotel rooms are spacious and clean. We thought
that it might be busy with all the Christmas parties and events, but it was very
quiet and relaxing. We ordered room service for breakfast and it came quickly
and was delicious. We had lunches at the Hooded Merganser and dinners at the
Bufflehead Tapas Room. Both restaurants were excellent with very friendly staff.
Overall, we had a lovely time and have booked another stay for Spring Break in
March.

this hotel is a good place to stay for many different people. When we go we
enjoy the nightlife so the parrot bar is great for dinner then just stay there
all night and with the casino how can you go wrong. yah you have to pay to park
but a nice resort on the lake with a casino you get what you pay for.
