Ramada Inn And Suites Penticton Reviews

We have stayed here several times but only for one night at a time. We have always had a great night with no issues. Check in and out has always been quick. The one time I had a concern, they went above and beyond what I expected to resolve the issue and made me happy.
We have always been in the 'tower building' which is 4 floors plus the ground floor. These rooms are spacious and comfortable - including the beds. Parking is easy and you can usually get close to your room. The on-site pub is a good one. Nothing to complain about but I will note the slow elevator and the towel rack partly in the way of the small toilet.
Overall a great place with nice grounds.

Dates of Stay: July 2009, August 2009, August 2010 for 10 nights.

My husband discovered the Ramada first in 2009. We stayed for 5 nights in July in the 1-bedroom suite in the towers with our two young kids (at that time, 2 & 4 yrs). Absolutely fantastic experience, so much that we found another week to come back that same summer, in August! The only thing I liked better - and would strongly recommend for families with active kids - is that the second week, we stayed in the rooms that border the central green space/pool, on the ground floor. That way, kids can run/play in the green space (often impromptu soccer/football/baseball/insert sport here games erupt with all the kiddos on the property...or tag...or on the playground...or...or...you get the idea. By staying on the ground level, Mom and Dad can sit back and enjoy a beverage while still adequately supervising the short guys.....Note: I had gotten the staff to photocopy a map of their room layouts for me to take home...so when we booked for Summer of 2010, I could specify which two rooms (we took Grandma in 2010) we wanted out of rooms 1XX - 1XX...and they totally accommodated us. And I only gave them a room block booking of 6 rooms I found acceptable! if you stay more than 4 nights, ask if they can give you a good rate. They often will give you the senior's rate.

Room night fee is a tad higher than other hotels, however quite frankly - it keeps out those that are there to party (forgetting that in my early 20's I was one of those "horrible party-ers". Ahem...) and more families are there.

Rooms are quieter on the back of the property than on the front...there are 2 gas BBQs available for cooking, but we also bring our own microwave and hot plate....the pool is amazing - some days we stayed at the hotel and played at the pool, as it truly is a resort-style place....many of the families we met have been coming back there for 5 years plus...they book the same rooms in the same weeks, etc. Staff are great - typical college kids and happy to chat, etc.

There is some wear-and-tear that's starting to show - inevitable - however the overall experience still makes this our first choice when staying in Penticton.

Kids want to now "live in the hotel" forever =)

We're already booked for 2011.

I was fortunate to reserve a jacuzzi room with fireplace. The room was fantastic; the fireplace warm and inviting and the jacuzzi was invigorating. The room was very clean and comfortable. The food at the Kettle Valley Station pub was excellent and the service outstanding. The outdoor pool was clean, warm water and plenty of towels. The outdoor hot tub was very clean and perfect temperature. Everything about this hotel is to be applauded and I look forward to returning many times throughout the year !

We stayed there after going to a wine convention, needless to say we were all pretty ready for bed afterwards. Went to the Sauna and Pool and they were both great.
Only negative thing was that there was a wedding that day at the hotel and we could hear the wedding party's music and drunken debauchery well into and past midnight. If we weren't so ready for sleep due to the consumed wine, it would have been a major problem.

My husband and I stayed overnight with my parents. Great location and very quiet on the edge of Penticton. Clean and modern room with a spacious shower. Very warm and cozy. Friendly service and good advice at reception. We didn't use the pool or poolside gym, but it was beautiful and we look forward to going back again!
