Remodeled and very clean nice grounds
Beds a little on the hard side for me but okay for husband same with the
pillows. Shower did not get really hot

Very convenient and relaxed. We appreciated being able to include our 2 small
dogs in our holiday. I would recommend this motel and would stay there again if
in Penticton. Excellent value.

close to water and needed business activities and amenities. room had clean
kitchenette although it was a bit strange that you need to plug everything in to
get it working.
the AC window unit was very load and sometimes worked in one room better than
another. could use some updating

It was very clean & well-priced for someone who just needed a good night sleep.
Staff were very friendly & helpful. Also liked the fridge & microwave.
For the price, it was all good!

Cleanses was not up to standard. Pur bedding maybe was not washed . very thin.
carpet was not vacuumed. Find some bags, we only stayed one night.

Within a 10 minute walk of the beach on Skaha Lake. Quiet, despite being located
alongside the highway. Staff were very friendly and accommodating.

Sleeping... We didn't have enough towels to dry our bodies/hair, so didn't
bathe, there was mould in the coffee pot, so no coffee the first day, and left
early the 2nd day... Was only in Penticton cause my mom is very ill/dieing.. But
the hotle clerk was wonderful and cheery and prompt with handling out booking,
and after driving 14 hrs that went a long long way... Thank her if possible...
And because of her, we will consider using your facilities again, in spite of
the mould, lack of towels etc... she was lovely... And we didn't have to move
half way through our stay either, as we were innitially informed.
Mould in the coffee pot, fridge was filled with ice, then melted water every
where, and not enough towels (one each, bath face and hand)... I have very long
hair and am kind of used to one towel for my hair and one for my body... But the
lady was pleasant and prompt, and quite cheery, so I will consider using your
hotel again..

Lakeside is great if you want to visit Penticton on a budget. This is a MOTEL
... not a hotel. You will have an outside door, a window set air conditioner and
a smaller kitchenette. You will NOT have a private interior door, central air
conditioning or a full kitchen. Our room was spotless on arrival (we found out
that there had been a party there the day before so they were in the process of
dry cleaning the rugs for us). The owners are a very nice couple that also run
the day to day affairs. We didn't need daily cleaning. There is internet. I saw
another review that says there wasn't but possibly the router was down that day
because both our iPhones and laptop had internet from day one. The bed was a
queen size and very comfortable. The tub was nice, clean and with a very cool
shower curtain hanger that caused it to "balloon" out from the tub making it
seem bigger. There was always lots of hot water. It took us a few hours to
figure out the refrigerator had been turned down, but by the first night our
groceries and beverages were nice and cold. As stated there is an in window air
conditioner high up near the ceiling. Until 4 or 5 PM it does a great job of
keeping the room comfortable. However, as the sun starts to set behind the
building, the entire west wall just BAKES! This made the bedroom a little too
warm for comfort and we had to open the windows and front door to try and get a
cooler breeze once the sun set. Ceiling fans in the bedroom would most likely
take care of this problem or a screen door at the front to prevent insects from
getting in. Great access to Skaha Lake beach via an under ground tunnel. The
beach at this end is more gravelly than sand, but we didn't mind as that meant
fewer people as well. Very reasonably priced too. All in all, we had a great
time and will be coming back.

We stayed at this motel in 2009; nice clean motel and great value. We decided to
go back this August for a night or 2 and ended up staying for 4. We met up with
2 other couples (we're all from Nanaimo) and they stayed for 2 nights as well.
Had a great experience there; would definitely recommend to others. Probably
going back next year as well! |
