We decided to celebrate our anniversary at this place. Really...the TV didn't
work..finally found out it was the connection. Fridge came with milk and bread
(not ours!) and crumbs on the floor. Nice cigarette burns on the rug. For a
hotel in this class? I expected better. All rooms with a view...ours was the
roof. Also charges $5 for self parking. There are so many better places. Don't
let fancy ads fool you. Take it from those that have actually paid to stay in
these places.

Ok so we have high standards and the Lakeside Resort delivered. The hotel itself
beautiful, very clean and our room was mint. The location is prime, we loved the
licensed beaches on the property and we were literally steps away from the
downtown farmers market on Saturday. Dining was pure class. They have three
restaurants on site and if you can believe it one of them is actually built ON
the water... like an island restaurant. We had the one of the best breakfasts in
recent memory there and talk about views... its all glass, panoramic over the
lake... you're literally on the Okanagan Lake looking at mountains on either
side. Truly one of a kind. We also went for dinner on two occasions, one night
as the sun was setting which was beautiful. We loved our server each time and
the meals were delicious. No complaints. The other two restaurants have huge
patios and were great places to enjoy a bottle of wine. One is tapas room, more
comfortable and classy, while the other is a bar and a pretty cool bar at that.
Beds were comfortable and we slept really well each night, didnt really hear any
noise so we're not sure what the complaints are all about. All in all we had a
fabulous time, even managed to rent jet skis from the resort and would
definitely stay again. If we skipped winery tours and golfing we'd have no
reason to leave the resort. Exceeded expectations. It doesnt get any better,
location, food, staff, quality. LOVE IT. We've already recommended to friends
and look forward to coming back. Thank you for a great holiday

We stayed here as a weekend getaway from Vancouver, and I was a little but weary
at first by some of the bad reviews. First, I just want to point out that we
stayed over the weekend, and were right over the bar. When the balcony door was
closed, we didn't hear a thing! And the bar is only open until like 2 anyway, so
it's not really that big of a deal. Amenities and rooms were very clean and well
appointed. This is definitely one of the better 4 stars I've stayed in. And if
it's not 4 star, it should be. Dining was great, service was great, and casino
was fun. They are very pet friendly which was a plus, and the fee is only around
$25 and they give you treats for your dog and information. Parking was only $5,
which I was really happy about. I'm used to paying much more so this was nice to
not be gouged. Oh and if you eat in their restaurant that's on the water (can't
remember the name), you have to order their seafood burger. OMG the BEST seafood
burger I have EVER had. The other food was really good too. If you stay here,
you actually don't really need to leave. They have everything that a resort
needs. A++ for me and we WILL be back.
Room Tip: Ask for close to the elevator, as the resort is quite long.

I travel a fair bit for both business and pleasure. In Penticton this is still
the place to stay! Nice updated rooms and very comfy beds! Much better than the
other hotels nearby such as the Ramada which has very uncomfortable beds.
Friendly staff and some decent places to eat right at the hotel.

Had to pay a high rate for just an average room .... then had to pay extra for
parking, extra for internet, plus a $50/day "deposit" in case we charged
anything to our room. Setting is nice & restaurants were good, but certainly
didn't have the feeling of staying at a "luxury resort". |
