We stayed here whilst visiting the wineries in the area. Our young kids were
lugged from winery to winery through out the day, so they were thrilled to
arrive at the motel to find a heated outdoor swimming pool, surrounded by loads
of grass and a fun sprinkler fountain section.
Of an evening the other people staying were very friendly chatting from their
balconies and the rooms were large with comfy beds and a real bath.
One down side is the lack of cups and cutlery in the room, however these were
found by the night receptionist.

We booked in for a one night stay with our dog. We asked specifically about not
being close to hockey teams. We were told firstly that there were no teams
staying. However after we'd taken a room, we were told that not only was there a
hockey team, but that they were just along the corridor, and assured that we
"probably wouldn't hear them."
At 10pm (after we'd settled in for the night), the boys arrived back to the
hotel and proceeded to play video games, loudly, in the room right next door to
us! We asked reception if there was another room that we could be moved to, but
were told that, because of the dog, we couldn't be moved...... so we moved to
another hotel.... at 10:30pm. Very annoying to have to get dressed, pack up and
move.
We felt that we had been conned. They must have known about the hockey team, and
which rooms they were in, and yet they weren't honest about it. We think that
they figured that once we were in the room, we'd just put up with it for one
night! No way!
On a brighter note, they hotel was nice and clean and reasonably priced, and
they did welcome the dog. I have nothing against teenagers, just not right next
door to me!

Have stayed here many times over the years. Nice rooms/ service for the price.
Its right across the road from the start of the canal so thats handy if its part
of your plan. probably a ten minute walk to downtown where the bars and
nightlife etc is. |
