"Ok for Penticton.."
rooms can be a long way from the lobby. Denny's attached. Lobby is nicest part
of hotel - rest looks worn.

I stayed here again and had a great time. The staff are great and the hotel has
everything I need.

We stayed at this hotel a year ago and had good time (mostly for kids). They had
great time at the pool.
Our second stay was this past May. It still provided the same decent service
that we expected. The price was OK. We got better deal this time because we book
early.
As we expected, kids had great time again at the pool. This will be our pit stop
whenever we travel around Okanagan.
The other good thing about this hotel is it has Denny's attached to the hotel.

Great friendly staff, always our first choice in Penticton. Always clean! Pool
is great! Good location. Not quite sound proof though, room doors seem to always
slam shut real loudly

We live in Summerland, a short distance from this Sandman, and like to once a
year take our kids for a night so they can swim. We chose this hotel for this
year's stay, and will NEVER go back! Aside from being pretty run down and dirty,
the pool is a nice temperature so we we enjoyed our swim. We were given a slightly
reduced rate (still paid over $100) as it is the slow season, and were put in a
room with 1 queen size bed as requested. The room was situated directly across
from an ice machine and a pop machine. Every 45 minutes or so, throughout the
night while were trying to sleep, these machines would start some loud process
that would start with a massive thud.The ice machine would then dump a ton of
ice into its cooler in a loud, long, process. Then the pop machine would start
doing some other thing. This happened ALL NIGHT LONG!! I thought of calling teh
front desk, but knew that they would suggest we pack up all of our belongings
and our extremely tired toddlers to move to another room. When I asked the
manager the next day, why they even put people in that room especially when the
whole time we were there, we didn't see one other guest so they didn't have to
put us there in the first place, she was most unhelpful and unsympathetic. That
room should be used for storage, not guests paying good money for a hotel room!
Had she offered an apology, or a small amount taken off the price of our room we
would have gone back every year. Her indifference has cost them another valuable
customer !!! We came home to recover from a night of no sleep at this Sandman! |
