When I book a motel what I really want is a clean room and quiet surroundings
and the Travelodge delivers on both. The rooms are dated, but spotless. We had a
room with two queen beds. The beds are very soft and the bottom sheet is not
fitted so it comes untucked during the night.
Our room did not have a bathtub. So be sure to ask about that when booking.
Other things to note:
It is close enough to walk to several decent restaurants and Starbucks is right
around the corner (the coffee in the room is undrinkable).
There is a Laundromat right across the street, which was nice when travelling
with kids.
The pool is tiny but again was very clean and I was happy to see the staff
checking the chemicals a couple of times during the day. Unfortunately, while we
were there some goofs on a guys' weekend climbed into the pool afterhours and
poured something into the pool so it was closed on our last day.
We paid $110/night which seems a little steep for the age of the place and size
of room, but it was August in the valley.

Wow, it sure is expensive to stay in the beautiful Okanagan Valley! The Vernon
Travelodge is no exception. But I have to write this review to commend the
management on their friendly, helpful service. And the cleaning crew for the
spotless condition of the room and bath.
The place itself is old and worn. Furnished in Early Thrift Store style. But the
TV, plumbing and door lock worked fine. The bed was comfortable and all clean
and nice. I am surprised at an earlier comment on traffic noise. After 11:00 pm
the place was like a tomb. The manager even got the soccer teams that were
staying there to move their party indoors.
Wish I had known that the heated outdoor pool was open in May--I would have
packed a swimsuit.

Enjoyed my stay there. Good location on outskirts of downtown Vernon but very
quiet. Had wireless internet which I didn't expect.
Very pleasant staff.

It was cheap, clean and has a central location. Also a nice mid sized
television. Walking distance from downtown core restaurants. Our problem, the
air conditioning unit was very old and noisy, so we had to open the windows to
sleep and the nearby traffic didn't help us sleep well. Internet was weak. |
